Lifetrenz Hospital - CSSD Module
Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) is a crucial function in any hospital. The CSSD module in Lifetrenz Hospital Management System handles receipt, cleaning, assembly, sterilisation, storage and distribution of surgical instruments and other items. Implementation of Lifetrenz CSSD module will help contain all types of infections, improve quality of care and reduce length of hospital stay. The CSSD Configuration module allows the Hospital to define the sterilisation processes, define instrument sets required for various surgeries and assemble/ break the sets. The CSSD module allows the CSSD department to plan their production based either on user requirements raised or on scheduled surgeries, undertake washing, cleaning, packing & sterilisation of instruments/ other items, storage, issue and accept return of items.
3 Key Features of Lifetrenz Hospital’s CSSD Module
Configure CSSD Department
Lifetrenz CSSD configuration module allows the Hospital to define the sterilisation processes, define instrument sets required for various surgeries, add attributes to instrument sets such as sterilisation process, life after sterilisation, assembly instructions etc. This module also has functionalities to assemble sets by defining the serial number of each instrument that goes into the set and then assigning a set level serial number. Assembled sets can be broken to individual items also. When sets are assembled/ broken, the system automatically handles the inventory levels of individual items and sets.
Production Planning
Lifetrenz’s CSSD module allows the CSSD department to plan their production based either on user requirements or on scheduled surgeries. The system takes into consideration the requirement, available stock with life and recommends the quantities of sets/ items for production.
Integrated with OT Module
Lifetrenz’s CSSD module is integrated with the OT module and receives user demands electronically from all ORs and facilitates issue to users and returning of used instrument sets and individual items electronically. While issuing items, the system checks for sterilized life and does not permit issue of items without sufficient sterilisation life.
